Lane county Oregon officials are reporting that the rate of Syphilis infections are at the highest rate they have been since 1920!! It is not yet recommended by the CDC to give preventative medication post SA for Syphilis BUT…it is up to examiners to provide education regarding the risk of Syphilis post sexual assault and recommend appropriate follow up care.
